It’s his quartet featuring Los Angeles cornetist Dan Clucas, Canadian bassist Clyde Reed and long time drummer Carson Halley. Recorded in Portland in December 2019, Boomslang features a mix of Halley compositions and spontaneous improvisations that showcase the depth and inventiveness of the group’s playing.
