Jazz Saxophonist & Composer Rich Halley on the 2021 CD Boomslang

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Saxophonist & Composer Rich Halley on the 2021 CD Boomslang  .. It’s his quartet featuring Los Angeles cornetist Dan Clucas, Canadian bassist Clyde Reed and long time drummer Carson Halley. Recorded in Portland in December 2019, Boomslang features a mix of Halley compositions and spontaneous improvisations that showcase the depth and inventiveness of the group’s playing. He opens up about this, COVID and the future ahead .. Enjoy ..
