Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with American-Iranian Saxophonist & Composer Farzin Farhadi .. We caught up with him on January 12, 2022 to talk about his new CD with his Trio and String Quartet called The Cure .. We gets into the meaning, COVID and his life in music .. His melodic blend of jazz-pop has been influenced by Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane minced with the traditional Persian and Middle Eastern music. Originally from Iran, he grew up in Washington D.C. and studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston before moving to Los Angeles in the early 1990s. Dig this story …
