Veteran Orlando-based Jazz Guitarist Chris Cortez

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Veteran Orlando-based Jazz Guitarist Chris Cortez .. On his latest 2022 CD called Hermanos he teams up with good friend and trumpeter Larry Williams .. and it’s a musical collaboration that goes all the way back to the eighties. He is the owner of the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts and hasn’t released his own music since 2014. Through his work with Larry in the past, they had a huge impact on the jazz scene in Orlando, Florida. His story is a great one .. Enjoy ..
