Jazz Hammond B-3 Cat Greg Hatza

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Hammond B-3 Veteran Greg Hatza  .. He was born and Raised in Reading, PA and became a star on the Baltimore scene .. When he was growing up he was baptized with Boogie Woogie and would go on to love the sounds of cats on the Hammond B-3 – like Jimmy Smith,
Jimmy McGriff, Ray Charles, and Johnny Hammond Smith – He started playing the Hammond B-3 in high school and his first professional gig on the instrument came when he was only 16 – His latest 2017 CD is Diggin Up My Roots and that’s what he is always doing .. Greg is a very evolved cat always learning and growing into his jazz roots ..
