Jazz Vocalist, Educator and Minister Leonisa Ardizzone

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Musician, Vocalist, Educator and  Minister Leonisa Ardizzone.. She opened up about her latest 2019 with her Quartet called All in Good Time…This CD  hangs together like a densely emotive tone poem composed to, if not make life make sense, then at least tell a simple truth. She was introduced to her music a decade ago. Her creative process had a smart edge to it, revealing a fertile mind and expansive interest and when she was in graduate school, she was musically active, singing in the New York City club scene on such sacred ground as Sweet Rhythm, Iridium, Danny’s, the Duplex, and the Kitano. Eventually, the singer found herself a single mom with her considerable focus being on raising her daughter – and now she is back ..
