Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Harlem-based Vocal Powerhouse Vienna Carroll... She celebrates early black work songs & blues spirituals on her new 2020 release "Harlem Field Recordings" in a collection of spirituals, blues and work songs which highlight the continuum between our earliest music and the music of today. She grew up loving music in the church and that desire to sing has always been with her ..
