Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Toronto-based Drummer, Composer and Bandleader Ernesto Cervini ... He opened up about yet another inventive jazz venture he has embarked upon .. This one is the 2020 CD Tetrahedron .. He has been hailed by the Vancouver Sun as “one of Canada’s premier drummer-composer-bandleaders,” And whether with his Quartet, his innovative Turboprop sextet, his co-led trios MEM3, Myriad 3 or Tunetown, he’s always inventive ..
With Tetrahedron takes on his first project with an electric bassist (the great Rich Brown) and an electric guitarist (the acclaimed Nir Felder). Together with them and the marvelous Cuban-born, Toronto-based alto saxophonist Luis Deniz, he churns musical imagination. ..So, get to know this project and dig this interview my friends ..
