Chicago-based Veteran Jazz Singer and Composer Joanie Pallatto

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Chicago-based Veteran Jazz Singer and Composer Joanie Pallatto .. We talked to her about her latest 2021 CD My Original Plan .. and she opened up about a long life in music .. She’s originally from Xenia, Ohio and by the age of 4 she began to learn violin, then moved to clarinet. In school she sang in the choir, where she discovered her passion for singing and that evolved into touring with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the 1970s  .. She owns her own label in Southport Records and has a great story .. Enjoy ..
