Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Executive Director at UNESCO Creative City of Music-KC Anita Dixon and Partner & Senior Vice President of Development & Capital Markets Robert Farmer .. Back in 1987, US Congressman John Conyers introduced HR-57 that is an order to preserve jazz as a "national treasure." Moving forward to 2021, a group of dedicated jazz enthusiasts from Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Washington and Philadelphia came together to discuss the strategic connectivity these Cradles of Jazz cities as it pertains to Jazz Music and the musical journey of jazz, creating “The HR-57 Initiative”.  This includes Kansas City’s 20TH and Vine St. Castle Project ..and so much more ..
