Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series! In this episode, we talk with award-winning author and grief advocate Sheila K. Collins about the transformative power of art in healing.
After experiencing the devastating loss of two adult children, Sheila turned to the arts—dance, music, storytelling, and creative expression—to navigate grief. While touring for her book, Warrior Mother: Fierce Love, Unbearable Loss and the Rituals that Heal, she witnessed how deeply Western culture struggles with grief, fear, and loss. This inspired her latest work, The Art of Grieving: How Art and Art Making Help Us Grieve and Live Our Best Lives, where she explores the idea that grieving is a skill we can practice and master, like an art form.
🎠Join us as we explore how the arts can be a powerful tool for healing, resilience, and living fully.
