Jazz Trumpeter & Composer Jaimie Branch

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Trumpeter & Composer Jaimie Banch .. Her new 2019 CD Fly Or Die II: Bird Dogs of Paradise Solo and it’s a follow up to her first album 2017’s Fly Or Die .. She was started playing trumpet at age nine and Miles Davis has always been a huge musical influence .. From Brooklyn, she went to Chicago, then the New England Conservatory of Music - back to Chicago and then on to Baltimore and now she is a huge name in the world of jazz .. We caught up with her on tour in Spain to discuss her beginnings and rise up in the current jazz world .. So dig it ..
