Jazz Singer and Songwriter Dr. Jackie “Bouvier” Copeland

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Singer and Songwriter Dr. Jackie “Bouvier” Copeland .. She opened up about her debut 2022 CD .. Her rootsy jazz is designed to relieve stress and inspire social action for all people during these turbulent times. In the midst of the trauma and social isolation of the COVID Era, her practice of deep reflection, social action, prayer, and the chanting vocal style, she calls blachanting, evolved into the album Blachant. Net sales proceeds from Blachant will support The Women Invested to Save Earth Fund (WISE Fund) and its Black Philanthropy Month (BPM) program. She has a fascinating story .. Enjoy ..
