Jazz Musician, Composer, Bandleader & Educator Darrell Katz on the 2022 CD New OddSong CD Galeanthropology

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Musician, Composer, Bandleader & Educator Darrell Katz on the 2022 CD New OddSong CD Galeanthropology .. The album features Original Songs, Pop Classics, and Jazz Standards with four saxophones, violin, marimba, and voice .. It goes from Jimi Hendrix’s “Belly Button Window” to original jazz-art song settings of the poetry of his late wife Paula Tatarunis. Originally from Topeka, Kansas, he has lived in the Boston area since 1975 .. We originally interviewed back in 2018 and these days things are vastly different .. Enjoy ..
