After being severely injured by a suicide bomber who exploded 3-feet away from me in Kandahar, Afghanistan, he spent 14 months at a hospital enduring painful burn treatments, reconstructive surgery, and brain injury rehabilitation. After leaving the military, he became an author & speaker because he wanted to help other people with the lessons he learned that helped him overcome my war injury.
