Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series. On this episode, we talk with Physician & Author Dr. Stewart A. Lonky about his new medical thriller, A Conspiracy of Data: Fail Safe – Not Safe, the first installment of a trilogy exploring artificial intelligence, medicine, technology, and the future of healthcare.
Over his esteemed career as a physician, Dr. Lonky has witnessed extraordinary changes in medicine. He has also acted in and written plays, bringing a unique creative perspective to his fiction. After decades of practicing medicine, he turned to fiction to explore what he describes as the reckoning of watching medicine evolve from an art into something increasingly driven by computers and data.
A Conspiracy of Data: Fail Safe – Not Safe takes those questions into the world of medical thrillers, exploring the intersection of AI and medicine, technology, data, healthcare, ethics, and the human side of medical care.
In this conversation, we dig into Dr. Lonky's life as a physician, his journey into fiction and theater, the evolution of modern medicine, the rise of artificial intelligence in healthcare, the inspiration behind A Conspiracy of Data, and what readers can expect from this new trilogy.
It's a fascinating conversation about medicine, technology, AI, storytelling, creativity, and the changing nature of healthcare from a physician who has lived through many of those changes firsthand.
