Big Band Leader Pete Ellman

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Big Band Leader Pete Ellman  .. WE talked to him back in early November 2020 during the COVID-19 world about his new 2020 CD "For Pete's Ache". The band was formed in 2009 after Pete retired from the 566th Air Force Band. Since then, the band has played regularly in and around Chicago. They regularly invite student jazz ensembles to join them and will provide members of the band as guest clinicians, giving these budding musicians a gig-like environment playing the music they love. It’s a great story .. Enjoy…
