Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Manitoba-based Jazz Pianist Will Bonness .. We caught up with him in November 2020 during the COVID-19 shake down to talk about his latest 2020 CD Change of Plans. It is his third release and specifically focuses on contrast, texture, and epic storytelling. These days, along with the music, he is an Associate Professor of Jazz Piano, Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba. He has been an active member of the Winnipeg, Canadian and international jazz scenes since his teen years. Get to know him.
