Coach & Author Kyra Jessen on Self-Sabotage, Neuroscience & ‘The Anticipation Principle’

Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series featuring Certified Neuroscience Coach, NLP Master Practitioner & Award-Winning Author Kyra Jessen. The author of the acclaimed book The Anticipation Principle, Kyra works with the beliefs behind self-doubt and self-sabotage — the patterns we can carry for years without ever consciously choosing them.

Her journey began in the demanding worlds of luxury hospitality and private banking, where precision, trust and reading people were essential. She became skilled at anticipating everyone else's needs, recognizing what people wanted before they even asked. But while she was looking after everyone else, she was neglecting herself.

Outward success. Inward neglect.

A mental health crisis became a turning point. After three years of therapy for anxiety and panic attacks that made ordinary days feel impossible, Kyra began exploring psychology, neuroscience and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). That experience ultimately led her toward a new mission: helping people understand the beliefs that hold them back and find a different path forward.

Now based in Germany, Kyra joins us for an honest conversation about self-sabotage, anxiety, mindset, neuroscience, personal transformation and the power of recognizing the patterns that shape our lives.

Dig into Kyra Jessen’s story, the ideas behind The Anticipation Principle, and how understanding our beliefs can open the door to meaningful change.
