Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Brooklyn-based Jazz Bassist Dan Loomis.. He has a very unique new project out .. The 2020 CD Job Trails – As Jazz Song Cycle – So Dan was born in California and grew up in St. Louis, MO .. and has more than a decade of performing experience since moving to New York City .. These days he is seen as a daring leader, a sought-after sideman, and a composer whose view of the world – and willingness to explore his own inner questioning – has led to the creation of innovative and moving works. He has appeared on nearly a dozen recordings with his own Quartet and with bands he co- leads and has been on stages across Europe, Canada, Australia, China and throughout the United States.
