Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with NYC-based Jazz Pianist & Composer Eldar Djangirov .. He talked about his latest 2020 CD Rhapsodize .. It is his 11th album and the follow up to World Tour Vol. 1 – He’s originally from the old Soviet Union - Kyrgyzstan-born and started playing the piano when he was 3 years old. His family moved to the USA when he was 10 years old, relocated to Kansas City and he talks about how he grew up here and the whole KC experience. During that time, he built a reputation as a child prodigy – he was on Marian McPartland's award-winning NPR show, Piano Jazz, when he was only 12 years old - the youngest performer to ever appear on her show. He was signed to Sony Masterworks at the age of 17 and has been travelling and making expert music every since .. So, get to know him and dig this interview my friends ..
